Standard Preparation With Cubis® II

Last updated: May 2020

Overview

The preparation of standards, also known as reference samples, is a routine procedure in analytical laboratories. There are two types of standards: internal standards, which are added to the samples being analyzed, and external standards, which are separate and used for comparison with test samples.

Each type of standard has a defined concentration of one or more known components. The concentration of these materials must be as accurate as possible to avoid subsequent errors in determining unknown concentrations in samples.

Download this application highlight to learn how Cubis® II balance can help with these procedures and assist in the preparation of internal and external standards.
