From Contamination to Compliance: The Role of Sartorius’ Lab Water System in PFAS Detection Webinar

On-Demand Webinar: From Contamination to Compliance: The Role of Sartorius’ Lab Water System in PFAS Detection

37 minutes

Discover how to reduce Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) contamination in water samples below the detection limit. In this on-demand webinar with Lab Manager, we will explore the world of PFAS, where they originate, their adverse and health impacts, and the steps taken by regulatory bodies.

This webinar explores the origins of PFAS, their environmental and health impacts, and what authorities are doing to control their presence. Discover how the Sartorius Arium® Water System revolutionizes the fight against PFAS contamination in water for analytical purposes, eradicating false positives and background noise that can compromise your chromatographic and spectroscopic results. We will provide an in-depth look into our experimental design, showcasing sampling points, method selection, and method of detection limits.

Stay tuned as we present key results demonstrating the remarkable capabilities of the Arium® Water System to reduce PFAS to levels undetectable by conventional means.

Andrew Christianson

President/CEO
Novem Scientific, LLC

Andrew Christianson is the President and CEO of Novem Scientific, LLC. He graduated in 2004 from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a BA in Chemistry, emphasis in Biochemistry. Andrew has been serving the scientific industry and solving analytical problems for over 15 years in service and sales of analytical equipment and applications. In addition to being involved in the local Minnesota Chromatography Forum, Andrew is also a voting member on the ASTM D19 water committee. Novem Scientific was founded in August 2021 and specializes in Total Organic Fluorine (TOF) analysis. TOF gives a non-targeted view of the total PFAS contribution in a sample as a compound class, without distinguishing individual analytes. The TOF test has been reimagined with modern instrumentation and Novem is on the cutting edge of research and development in new methods and matrices for this new and demanding analysis space.
