On-Demand Webinar: Accelerating Drug Discovery with High-throughput Biomolecular Interaction Analysis

Duration: 1 hour 18 minutes

Using the label-free optical technique of Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), the Octet® platform provides real-time analysis of molecular interactions. It relies on the robust and easy-to-use Dip and Read™ format, which provides faster time to results relative to technologies like ELISA and SPR. It also operates in a fluidics-free format, thereby minimizing the complexity in analyte detection by fluidics-based technologies like SPR. The Octet® platform provides high-throughput analysis, with the option of analyzing up to 96 samples simultaneously, thereby increasing analytical productivity. It has high tolerance to a diverse array of sample types, making it compatible across the various steps from drug discovery to in-process testing during drug substance manufacturing. In addition, the samples analyzed on an Octet system can be reused for other analysis, minimizing depletion of resources, and maximizing process economy.

Webinar Speaker

Bob Dass, Ph.D.

Senior Scientist, Sartorius

Bob Dass, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist on the Octet Applications Team at Sartorius. Bob joined the then ForteBio in 2015 as a Field Scientist supporting the Octet BLI and Pioneer SPR technologies in the Mid-Atlantic and Boston-Cambridge regions of the US. He has more recently supported customers in the Canada region. Prior to joining ForteBio, he worked at GE Healthcare (Cytivia, India) in the same role, supporting customers on GE’s analytical products that included SPR (Biacore), proteomics, and imaging platforms. He has a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India.
