High surface and interior temperatures can cause polymers, textiles and natural materials of automotive interiors to outgas volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOC & SVOC) at an accelerated rate. When these compounds condense on the cooler surface of the windshield, it can create a visibility problem for the driver.
